Alan Rickman Says Goodbye To The ‘Harry Potter’ Franchise
In the April 2011 issue of Empire Magazine, Alan Rickman wrote this open letter that reflected on his time spent with the ‘Harry Potter’ franchise, and giving thanks and praise to J. K. Rowling.
Alan Rickman is one classy guy, plus this letter is so much better if you read it with Rickman’s voice in your head.

Love this.

Short Film of the Day: In their short visual poem “Sub City New York,” Sarah Klein and Tom Mason pay tribute to “that moment in New York when you emerge from the subway and find yourself in a new and sometimes unexpected world.”

Two reasons this video is awesome:

1) Justified Season 2. Nuff said.

2) More of Raylan’s pop culture knowledge, this time in the form of Star Wars’ Cantina Scene.

CANNOT. EFFING. WAIT.

Ricky Gervais on Piers Morgan Tonight

This is a really nice interview and I really appreciate Gervais not backing down at all about his hosting duties at the Golden Globes this year.  You can see all parts of the interview here.

(via Buzzfeed)

“You do your own thing, and then you see if you survive. And I wouldn’t have it any other way cause if you start second guessing and you’re trying to find people that are like you or change it to make certain people like you, you’re finished, and you’re finished as a comedian more than any other thing in the world. It’s not my job to worry about what people think of me. That’s a job for a politician. I don’t care what people think of me. I care that I’ve done a good job, and I care that I’ve told the truth.”

You should really watch this interview.

Great stuff here.

The film was released in 1995, so after two-plus decades of Robert De Niro’s career, how in the hell do you expect anyone to take him seriously when he’s cast as a Jewish guy?
